Led by Dishali Ramdenee and supported by D T Seebundhun, the club has become a haven for aviation enthusiasts, aficionados, and industry professionals alike. What initially served as a platform for sharing aviation photos has transformed into a dynamic hub for discussions, knowledge exchange, and entertainment, anchored by its dedicated website, planesports.club.

From its humble beginnings of sharing photos and videos on WhatsApp, the club rapidly expanded its reach to encompass popular social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. This expansion has facilitated greater connectivity, engagement, and entertainment among members across diverse platforms.

Water is an exceptionally versatile resource that is essential to practically every part of humanity, from power production to agriculture. It’s significance for the continuation of life on Earth cannot be emphasized. Water is a crucial element in many metabolic processes and is necessary for the body to function properly.

Long distances are covered by water transportation, which involves moving people, products or anything else that can be transported by water. This is done on boats, barges, ships and sailboats. This method of transportation is regarded as the least expensive one. According to the Eurostats, 524 million tonnes of products were moved over inland waterways in Europe in 2021. Water is often used as a tool to make living simpler because it is easily used to transport heavy and bulk cargoes, as an example to transport vehicles from Japan to Mauritius, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade, Mauritius imported motor vehicles and vehicles for transporting people worth US$ 69.67 million in 2022.

Overall, even though water is necessary for all living things, it is crucial to always take the right measures when near water to minimize any potential danger.

The ease of transporting a complete library on a tablet or e-reader has made digital forms enticing to many readers, particularly those who are always on the go.

Additionally, the fall in reading for enjoyment, particularly among younger generations, is cause for concern. The attractiveness of short-form content, such as tweets, memes, and online articles, has contributed to a culture of rapid pleasure and speedy consumption. This shift has raised concerns about people’s capacity to engage in deep, continuous reading, which is sometimes required to fully comprehend the depth and complexity of texts. The educational landscape is also undergoing transformation. While books continue to play a role in formal education, digital resources, interactive learning platforms, and multimedia content are becoming more prevalent in classrooms. This shift raises questions about the future role of books in shaping young minds and fostering a love for reading.

Despite these obstacles, it is critical to recognise that books are not losing their significance completely in society. They continue to be an important source of information as well as a repository of culture and history. Books provide a depth of insight and analysis that shorter, digital mediums cannot match. In a time where screens rule the hours, we’re awake and electronic gadgets easily integrate into everyday activities, it’s an irrefutable fact that technology has taken on greater significance in our lives. How we communicate with digital technologies impact our experiences, decisions, and even our perception of self from the moment we get up until we fall asleep. The way we communicate has undergone significant change. Playing with neighbours in the park or going to a game arcade have become unusual activities that have faded into the past. Instead, we find ourselves on video conversations, frequently only a few minutes away physically. The physical link we once had has suddenly vanished into the digital realm. As technology continues to change our lives, we must evaluate the changing nature of our social relationships and how to strike a balance between the digital and the real world.

In today’s society, children as young as one year old are addicted to mobile phones; they cannot be said to be at fault, but this is the way things are. Children from one to six years old are heavily exposed to technology, which is dangerous because by the time they reach adulthood, they will be obsessed. For example, a young child is crying, which is completely natural for a child, but parents or anybody else watching the child would just put anything on their phone to calm down the child, and after a few years the children grow obstinate and constantly demand a phone or a tablet. This suggests that parents today may not form the same deep emotional bonds as they did in the past. It indicates that genuine connections in their lives may be lacking This may result in parents and children feeling like strangers under the same roof; if that parental link is not established, how can the child trust his or her parents? Worse, do parents know their child well in this extremely contemporary society? How closely are they related? Certainly, connected to technology.

Perhaps spend the weekend with a family member? No, it’s more that people send messages to check on others, which is acceptable once in a while, but being there for people, going to their house, is something that some seniors want as they grow older because they demand more love from their family, but because we are too busy, we check on them through messaging apps. I may check in on someone from time to time, but I have no idea how that person is genuinely feeling, and behind the screen, they may simply lie, and sometimes that is how some wonderful soul leaves us. Sometimes spending just one day with someone without bickering is essential; that face-to-face interaction, people laughing together is a basic thing that has to be preserved, but it is dwindling little by little.

Do not use technology as an escape from reality since the world needs people to exist in it. Diving deep into a life with no contact costs a lot, as someone wise once stated, ”cheap costs a lot.”

One primary goal of the Mauritius Avgeek Community is to share their love for aviation with the broader public. The community is to also promote aviation awareness and enthusiasm in Mauritius. While the island is home to a small but growing aviation industry, many people on the island are not aware of the incredible world of flight that surrounds them. Through events, social media and other outreach efforts, the Mauritius Avgeek Community aims to change that.

The world of aviation is a fascinating one, filled with cutting-edge technology, awe-inspiring feats of engineering, and a global community of enthusiasts who share a passion for flight as stated by one of our admins Dishali Ramdenee. And in Mauritius, a small island nation in the Indian Ocean, this passion has taken root in the form of the Mauritius AvGeek Community. But the Mauritius AvGeek Community is not just about promoting aviation to others. It is also a community of like-minded individuals who share a deep appreciation for the wonder of flight.

In the picturesque island of Mauritius, nestled in the Indian Ocean, a passionate group of aviation enthusiasts has come together to form the Mauritius Avgeek Community. With a shared love for all things aviation, this thriving club has quickly gained momentum, attracting members from all walks of life who are united by their fascination with the skies above. As they are about to celebrate reaching a remarkable milestone of 100 members, the Mauritius Avgeek Community is preparing to embark on a journey filled with ambitious projects aimed at sharing their passion for aviation with the wider public

UNITING AVIATION ENTHUSIASTS

The Mauritius Avgeek Community serves a hub for aviation enthusiasts, from seasoned pilots to aspiring aviators, plane spotters and aviation enthusiasts of all ages. It offers a platform for like-minded individuals to connect, learn and share their enthusiasm for aviation. The community’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment has been a key to its rapid growth and success.

Within MAC we’re also working to create awareness and bring the “sustainability within aviation industry” to the people who are both aviation passionate or non-Aviation passionate. As quoted by one of our admins Shakil Huldar “As the new world is being formed and alternate solutions for gasoline are being searched for, airlines and aircrafts manufacturer turning to sustainable development is a good approach to uplift the fight against pollution. The resolution to be 100% sustainable is a must within the aviation industry and we have seen Airbus taking this change and development to the next level. The result is the Airbus A350-1000.

Providing insights about our national airline, airport infrastructure and facilities, relevant stakeholders as well as the regulations of the Mauritius Civil Aviation and control airspace is also part of MAC’s vision. As quoted by one of our admins, Videha Aukhojee – “Both as an individual and avgeek, I believe bringing forth awareness about our local aviation settings and aviation in general is a must. MAC aims to connect people of all ages to pursue their passion for aviation be it from the general public to aspiring pilots, flight and aviation engineers or aviation crew members. The aviation industry is constantly evolving and for a small island like Mauritius, every achievement in that particular field is a statement and a celebration for all.”

Aviation is much more than just a mode of transport. “As quoted by our two admins Akisch Mangaram and Rishab Jhurry, it holds a special place in the hearts of avgeeks and aviation enthusiasts around the world. Aviation inspires a sense of wonder and fascination. The ability of aircraft to defy gravity and transport and goods across vast distances at incredible speeds is awe-inspiring.
